How Chat GPT can Be Useful For Cyber Security Professionals:

ChatGPT can be used to assist cyber security professionals in a variety of ways. It retrieves information based on the request that we send because it has access to all types of data. ChatGPT can also be used to protect against malicious users.

    • Malware Detection: ChatGPT can be trained to identify patterns in code that are indicative of malware, and flag these for further analysis.
    • It can be used for the get command for a variety of tools, with detailed instructions.
    • ChatGPT can Answer employee and IT staff specific questions about security guidelines,POLICIES and procedures.
    • Log analysis: ChatGPT can be used to examine log files for unusual or suspicious activity.
    • Phishing detection: ChatGPT can be trained to detect and report suspicious messages, such as phishing emails containing malware or attempting to steal personal information.
    • Incident response: ChatGPT can be used to generate automated responses to security incidents, such as a data breach, to aid in incident containment and damage prevention.
    • Vulnerability assessment: ChatGPT can be used to identify software and system vulnerabilities by analyzing code and identifying potential security flaws.
    • Exploit generation: ChatGPT can be used to generate code that can be used to exploit vulnerabilities in software and systems.

Because ChatGPT is a general-purpose language model, it may lack the domain knowledge required to address certain cybersecurity challenges. It can, however, be fine-tuned based on the specific task and data to improve its performance.

How ChatGPT Can be used against the Cyber Security professionals

Many Cyber Organizations and hackers are using the ChatGPT to create malicious content to do malicious attacks . The ChatGPT can be used many others purposes also

    • By using ChatGPT we can create new type of malicious codes
    • It can write phishing emails without typos
    • It can write software and malware
    • ChatGPT can be used to create fake social media profiles and websites in order to conduct social engineering attacks
    • Information gathering become very easy
    • Because of the use of ChatGPT as the conservation is very fast and error free, social engineering attacks have become very easy.
    • Cybercriminals are also using the chatbot to launch denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. In a DoS attack, the attacker floods the victim’s network with requests, which causes the network to become overloaded and unable to respond to legitimate requests.

It won’t be long before more skilled threat actors enhance how they utilise AI-based tools for malicious Activity.
